For the seventh consecutive year, Daemen University has been named among the 2026 Best National Universities by U.S. News & World Report.
Only three institutions in the Buffalo-Niagara region — including Daemen — and 28 total institutions in New York State have received this distinction.
Daemen has also been recognized as a leader in social mobility and nursing. The university ranks among the top national institutions in social mobility, a category that assesses graduation rates of Pell Grant recipients.
“We are incredibly proud of this national recognition, which is a testament to Daemen’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence,” said President Gary A. Olson. “We will continue to invest in transformative initiatives that empower all students to become impactful leaders in their fields and in society.”
Institutions in the National Universities category offer a range of undergraduate majors, as well as master’s and doctoral programs, and emphasize faculty research or award professional practice doctorates.*
The 2026 edition of the U.S. News Best Colleges rankings evaluates more than 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities, using up to 17 factors to measure academic quality and graduate success.*
