Gary Bichler, president and chief operating officer of R&P Oak Hill Building Company, Inc., has been appointed to the Daemen College Board of Trustees.
“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Bichler to the Daemen board, and are confident he will bring great insight and expertise to advancing this exceptional college,” said Thomas Stewart, chair of the Daemen Board of Trustees.
Bichler, who has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, joined R&P Oak Hill Development, LLC, as minority owner/partner in 2006. As part of a recent transition to employee ownership, the Buffalo-based construction company has changed its name to R&P Oak Hill Building Company. The company has completed more than $500 million of construction projects throughout the Buffalo Niagara region, including Daemen’s new Academic and Wellness Center.
“I am proud to have a role with such a fine college as Daemen, and I look forward to my service on the board,” said Bichler.
Active in the community, Bichler serves as chairman of the Construction Exchange of Buffalo and Western New York Board of Directors, and previously served on several other area boards, including as president of the Western New York Mental Health Association Board of Directors and treasurer of the Buffalo State College Foundation Board of Directors.
