Lisa Parshall, president of Faculty Senate and a professor of political science at Daemen, was interviewed recently on the Government Executive Daily podcast, as part of a series on the lasting impact of September 11 on federal administration and government.
Government Executive, or GovExec, is the daily business news outlet of the federal government and its workforce.
The four-part podcast series examined how, in the decades since 9/11, the federal government reoriented its intelligence gathering, while waging a “war on terror”—instigating major changes in the public’s view of government.
Parshall appeared on the podcast with 9/11 Commission member and former U.S. Representative Tim Roemer; Alasdair Roberts, professor and director of the School of Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Amherst; and Ron Sanders, with the Florida Center for Cybersecurity.
Earlier in 2021, GovExec aired a two-part podcast on Parshall’s book Directing the Whirlwind: The Trump Presidency and the Deconstruction of the Administrative State.
