For the sixth consecutive year, Daemen University has been recognized as a leading institution of higher education in the country, being named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best National Universities list.
Daemen is one of only three institutions in the Buffalo-Niagara region to receive this distinction, and one of 28 in New York State.
In addition, U.S. News has recognized Daemen University as a leader in both social mobility and nursing. The university ranks among the top national institutions in social mobility, a category that assesses graduation rates of Pell Grant recipients.
“This national distinction highlights Daemen’s commitment to exceptional academic standards,” said President Gary A. Olson. “Our institution prides itself on developing inclusive, innovative programs that help set every student up for a successful future.”
Institutions in the National Universities category offer a range of undergraduate majors, as well as master’s and doctoral programs, and emphasize faculty research or award professional practice doctorates.*
For its 40th rankings edition, U.S. News evaluated nearly 1,500 four-year bachelor’s degree-granting institutions grouped within 10 distinct overall rankings where colleges and universities were compared with schools that shared their academic mission.*
