A remembrance ceremony in honor of Veterans Day featuring a ceremonial bell ringing and other activities will be held at Daemen College on Nov. 11 at Founders Walkway, outside of the college’s historic Rosary Hall.
The ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m. with opening remarks given by Dr. Michael Brogan, senior vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college. At 11 a.m., 11 veterans and their families will participate in a ringing ceremony of Daemen’s Founders Bell in commemoration of Veterans Day.
A tree planting ceremony in recognition of the sacrifice of U.S. veterans will immediately follow the bell ringing. The event will conclude with a flag folding by the Niagara Air Base Honor Guard.
Also throughout the day, a POW remembrance table will be on display in the dining hall located in the Wick Campus Center.
