Tickets On Sale For Basketball Tripleheader At KeyBank Center

11/10/2021 10:00:00 AM

For the first time since the 2019-20 season, men's college basketball will return to KeyBank Center as Canisius, Daemen and Niagara play host to a tripleheader on Saturday, Dec. 18.

Tickets for the three games are on sale now through the Daemen ticket office and Hometown Ticketing by CLICKING HERE. Tickets for the entire event cost $25 for adults, $10 for fans 18-and-under, and for college students with valid school ID cards. Group ticket prices will be $20 for groups of 15-or more fans, and may be purchased by calling the Daemen ticket office at (716) 839-7694.

The three-game slate will tip-off at 11 a.m., when Daemen plays host to Franklin Pierce. The Wildcats, who started the season ranked No. 24 in the D2SIDA Preseason Poll, will be playing at KeyBank Center for the second time in program history. In 2019-20, Daemen defeated Wilmington University 83-81.

Niagara will return to KeyBank Center for the first time since the 2016-17 campaign, when the Purple Eagles play host to UAlbany in the second game of the day, with a tip-off time set for 2 p.m. Niagara has played at KeyBank Center 26 times in program history, and the team is 13-13 in those contests. This will mark the first time UAlbany has played a game in Buffalo's downtown arena.

The tripleheader's final game will feature a traditional Big 4 basketball rivalry game, as the Canisius Golden Griffins square off with cross-town rival Buffalo. That game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. For Canisius, the game against Buffalo will mark the 49th time in program history where the Blue and Gold has played on the hardwood in KeyBank Center. The Golden Griffins are 29-19 in the previous 48 contests, with the team's most recent win coming over St. Bonaventure – a 61-57 victory for Canisius over the Bonnies back on Nov. 23, 2019.

The college basketball tripleheader will be the second in KeyBank Center history. On Nov. 27, 2004, the downtown arena hosted three basketball games featuring home games for both the Buffalo men's and women's teams and the Canisius men's program. Both UB squads and the Griffs scored victories on that day.

Please note that as of October 31, KeyBank Center is requiring all guests ages 12 and up to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. Proof of vaccination is required upon entry to the arena. For more information, please see the KeyBank Center Covid-19 policies
