The Daemen College community will officially kick off the holiday season at the fourth annual tree lighting ceremony and winter festival scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 30 outside the Wick Campus Center.
The event, which is open to the Daemen community and their families, will start with the lighting of a large pine tree that will be done by Dr. Greg Nayor, vice president for student affairs and strategic initiatives.
“As the fall semester draws to a close, this event offers a special way for our students, faculty, and staff of all faiths to enjoy and celebrate the holiday season,” said Nayor.
Hosted by the Office of Student Affairs, the winter festival will include horse-drawn carriage rides, selfies with Santa Claus, cookie decorating, strolling carolers, artificial ice bumper cars, and other winter-themed activities. Hot cocoa and cider will also be served.
