Daemen Athletics Celebrates At 2022 Night Of Honors

AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen University Division of Athletics celebrated a successful season today at the 2022 Wildcat Night of Honors held on campus. The annual event recognizes the achievements of the university's intercollegiate teams and student-athletes.

Major awards were presented to basketball players Andrew Sischo (Male Athlete of the Year) and Katie Titus (Female Athlete of the Year) as well as tennis player Zachary Laplante (Male Newcomer of the Year) and cross-country/track & field athlete Marcy Colca (Female Newcomer of the Year). 

Additional division-wide awards presented included the Sports Medicine P.R.I.D.E. Award and the C.L.A.W. Award.

The P.R.I.D.E. Award was presented to basketball player Tiara Filbert for best demonstrating perseverance, resilience, integrity, determination and expectations of excellence during her injury rehabilitation process. 

Bowler Alex Hasiotis received the C.L.A.W. Award, presented annually to the graduating senior student-athlete(s) who best exemplify character, leadership, academic achievement and work ethic.
