Daemen Athletics Honors The Best of 2022-23 at Wildcat Night Of Honors

AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen University Division of Athletics celebrated a successful season this evening at the 2023 Wildcat Night of Honors held on campus. The annual event recognizes the achievements of the university's intercollegiate teams and student-athletes.

Major awards were presented to Zach Schneider (Male Athlete of the Year) of men's volleyball, Kassandra Nolet (Female Athlete of the Year) of women's cross country/track & field, Aidan Kincaid of men's cross country/track & field (Co-Male Newcomer of the Year), Sean Califf of men's volleyball (Co-Male Newcomers of the Year) and women's soccer/women's lacrosse athlete Kylie Miranto (Female Newcomer of the Year).

Additional division-wide awards presented included the Sports Medicine P.R.I.D.E. Award and the C.L.A.W. Award.

The P.R.I.D.E. Award was presented to women's soccer player Gretchen Beyer for best demonstrating perseverance, resilience, integrity, determination and expectations of excellence during her injury rehabilitation process.

Marina Maerkl of women's basketball received the C.L.A.W. Award, presented annually to the graduating senior student-athlete(s) who best exemplify character, leadership, academic achievement and work ethic.
