Dr. Nicole Chimera serves as Daemen College’s athletic training program director and department chair, and is also an associate professor of athletic training. She enjoys working with Daemen students as they develop their research skills and helping them become strong evidence-based clinicians.
Chimera’s research focuses on understanding lower extremity movement patterns as they pertain to musculoskeletal injury and the usefulness of various clinical screening tools to categorize individuals at risk of injury.
A certified athletic trainer and a certified strength and conditioning specialist, Chimera has clinical athletic training experience at the Division I and II levels.
She holds a doctorate in biomechanics and movement science from the University of Delaware, a master’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in athletic training from Temple University, and a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
