Dr. Laura Watts, associate professor of art history at Daemen College, will present a lecture, “Regional Academies and Artistic Politics: Naples, Rome and Milan in 19th Century Painting,” this week at Canisius College. She will discuss the work of Tommaso Minard, Francesco Hayez, and Gioacchino Toma, and their stylistic developments achieved through their relationship with the regional academies.
