Tim Balkin has been appointed Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer of Daemen University, effective April 6.
Balkin, who has served as interim VP since May 2024, will oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, information technology services, human resources, and facilities management for the university.
Balkin has held several leadership positions during his career, including over 28 years at Moog Inc., culminating in serving as Treasurer and Group Vice President. Before joining the senior leadership team at Daemen, he served as Vice President for Business and Finance at Canisius University.
“Tim’s expertise and ability to identify and implement cost efficiencies across vital departments make him the ideal candidate for this role,” said President Gary A. Olson. “His leadership and innovative thinking will continue to drive Daemen’s momentum in the right direction.”
Balkin, a CPA, graduated from Canisius College, now Canisius University, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University at Buffalo.
