President Gary A. Olson opened the celebration, thanking faculty and staff for their dedication and collaboration in bringing these extensive plans to fruition—launching all three in one semester—“which is a major accomplishment for any university,” he said.Large room with tall round tables filled with a group of people standing

“This event is to congratulate you, to thank you, and to revel in the great work that we accomplished together,” Olson shared. “What sets us apart from other institutions is how we collaborate to get things done, which is why we’re able to experience this monumental achievement that we’re celebrating today.”

Collaboration is ingrained in Daemen’s culture. In March 2024, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) committee chair commended Daemen for an “extraordinary level of collaboration among governing bodies.”Table filled with folded royal blue t-shirts with white text screenprinted on them

In closing, Olson said, “This is all just a token of appreciation for you. Thanks for all the work you do to ensure Daemen will be the last one standing.”

Over 100 faculty and staff attended the celebration and received commemorative t-shirts to mark this achievement.
