Daemen University’s Physician Assistant program continues to develop exceptional healthcare practitioners.
The Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) performance report for 2024 revealed that Daemen’s first-time pass rate for 2024 was 96%, exceeding the national first-time pass rate of 92%. In addition, Daemen’s five-year average pass rate is 97%, exceeding the national five-year average pass rate of 93%.
“I could not be more proud of our PA students and the faculty,” said Dr. Greg Ford, the founding dean of the Scott Bieler College of Health Professions. “This academic and professional achievement, year over year, is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our PA students in their studies, in preparation to become leaders in healthcare and practitioners who will make a tremendous positive impact in the lives of those with whom they treat. Our highly respected faculty are equally dedicated and deliver a contemporary, forward thinking, student-centered curriculum, the reward of which is evident in the PANCE results time and time again.”
Physician Assistant students must pass the PANCE after graduating to practice clinically. The multiple-choice exam includes five blocks of 60 questions and covers a wide range of medical and surgical knowledge.
