AMHERST, N.Y. – Sophomore Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) of the Daemen University women's soccer team has been named to the 2023 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America team. The 40-player team represents the top players from all NCAA Division II teams. Communication professionals from NCAA Division II schools and conferences selected the three D2CCA All-America teams. The process begins at the regional level with all first-team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot. The announcement of the D2CCA All-America team was made this morning.

A third team selection, Miranto becomes the first All-American during the program's NCAA Division II era (2015-present). She was also recently named All-East Region by both the D2CCA and the United Soccer Coaches. She was one of six players from the East Region to be named D2CCA All-America.

Miranto enjoyed an outstanding sophomore season. A four-time ECC Player of the Week selection during the season, she became the first player in program history to be named ECC Offensive Player of the Year after totaling a league-high 16 goals and 37 points. A first team All-ECC selection, she registered three hat tricks on the year and recorded at least one goal in nine of Daemen's 17 games. She ranks seventh nationally in both goals per game (0.94) and points per game (2.18). She earned third-team All-ECC honors as a freshman last year after she ranked second on the team in goals (5) and points (11). Miranto has already racked up 48 points (21 gls, 6 asts) over her career and has recorded at least one point in 15 of her last 22 games dating back to the end of last season. A product of North Tonawanda High School, Miranto is also a member of the Daemen women's lacrosse team and totaled eight goals and eight assists in the team's inaugural season last spring.

Ranked as high as eighth in the East Region by the United Soccer Coaches this season, Daemen went 9-2-3 over its final 14 games and finished 9-5-3 overall and 6-1-1 in the ECC. The Wildcats finished second in the final ECC regular season standings, which ranks as the program's highest finish since joining the conference in 2013. The Wildcats also put together a program record 11-match unbeaten streak during the season. Seeded second in the ECC Championship tournament, the Wildcats defeated Mercy in the tournament semifinals to earn their first-ever appearance in the ECC championship game. The season came to an end following a loss to Molloy in the title game.
