Dr. Diane Bessel, associate professor and chairperson of the Social Work and Sociology department and program director for the Master in Social Work program, was appointed as a member of the Council on Social Work Education Board of Accreditation for a 3-year term. The Board of Accreditation fulfills the critically important function of maintaining and advocating for quality in social work education through its accreditation/candidacy process of more than 860 social work programs in the United States.
