The Veteran Services Department will host the Inaugural Daemen Vets Expo on Saturday, May 11, 2024, for the military community in Western New York.
The goal of the expo is to connect veterans, active-duty military members, reservists, and their families with essential resources, services, and support crafted for their unique needs.
More than 40 support organizations will be on hand, including the Buffalo VA Medical Center, Veterans One Stop, WNY Heroes, and WNY Housing Coalition.
“Daemen’s Veteran Services team feels strongly that we’re here to serve our veteran and military-aligned population on campus, in addition to, the veteran community at large,” said Robyn Swan, the assistant director of Veteran Services and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. “We are passionate about connecting veterans to community resources ensuring they can become the best version of themselves despite service-related illness, injuries, and or trauma.”
The event will take place in the Yurtchuk Student Center from 11-3 p.m. and is free. Veterans are asked to bring a copy of their DD214.
