Griffin Spatorico ‘19 was raised in the Western New York area where youth sports had a profound influence on his life.
“I wanted to give back to the sports that had taught me so much. I have always loved science, learning about injuries and the human body so naturally athletic training was my career choice,” recalled Spatorico.
He started his college search with two things in mind: a prestigious athletic training program and club sports. A friend had recommended he look into Daemen due to the reputation of their small class sizes and growing athletic training program. Spatorico saw the dedication to success in the athletic training staff and students as well as a family-like culture that reminded him of his youth sports teams. He then knew Daemen College was the place for him.
“The program offered everything I wanted, including clinical experiences in various settings ranging from high school all the way to the pros, a class schedule that was structured to accommodate clinical hours, and an opportunity to conduct professional-level research,” said Spatorico.
He currently works for Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as an outreach athletic trainer at Niagara Falls high school.
