Daemen University will hold the eighth annual Day of Giving on Thursday, April 18, to help make a difference in the lives of our students and continue our tradition of excellence.
The one-day fundraising campaign allows members of the Daemen community and friends of the university to make online donations to specific areas they are passionate about, including student scholarships, athletic teams, the President’s Excellence Fund, the CARE Team, and facility enhancements.
The campaign will officially kick off at midnight and run for 24 hours.
“This is your opportunity to show pride and gratitude for the impact that Daemen University has on each of us,” said Dr. Mario Hicks, the vice president for institutional advancement. “Whether you are an alum, student, parent, member of the faculty and staff, or friend, you are part of this special community.”
Now more than ever, Dr. Hicks is calling on members of the Daemen community to serve as an ambassador for the Day of Giving. Ambassadors create a personal campaign for a chosen program, team, or project and mobilize their networks through social media, text, and email to help generate donations.
You can learn more about the Day of Giving and how to become an ambassador by visiting the Day of Giving webpage or by calling the Office of Institutional Advancement at 716-839-8212.
