Marissa Pace has been appointed director of human resources at Daemen College, effective April 3.
In her new position, Pace will oversee all aspects of human resources at the college, including policies, employee recruitment and training efforts, benefits and administration, and employee relations.
“Marissa’s exceptional experience and distinctive skills will be valuable to this pivotal role in leading our human resources operations and activities,” said Richard Schott, vice president for business affairs. “We are pleased to welcome her to the Daemen community and confident she will be a great asset to our institution.”
Pace, who brings more than decade of human resources experience to Daemen, most recently served as human resources benefits and employee relations manager at Niagara University. Prior to this, she held positions at Greatbatch, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and New Era Cap Co.
“I am excited to join Daemen in this capacity and grateful for the opportunity to lead such a talented and dedicated human resources team,” said Pace. “As director, I look forward to being a part of this wonderful campus community and building on the college’s successful human resources efforts.”
Pace serves on the board of directors for Compass House and Lexington Coop, and is an active volunteer in the community.
A Buffalo resident, she holds an MBA from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Murray State University.
