For the sixteenth consecutive year, Daemen University has been named a College of Distinction for providing a high-quality undergraduate education that focuses on hands-on learning, strong student-teacher relationships, community involvement, and outcomes-based learning.
Alongside the institution-wide award, Daemen also received specialized recognition in the fields of business, education, and nursing. The university was also acknowledged for its exceptional military support initiatives and affordability.
“Daemen is dedicated to providing a first-rate education responsive to students’ individual needs and goals,” said President Gary A. Olson. “We are proud to be recognized once again as a College of Distinction.”
Colleges of Distinction’s selection process comprises a sequence of in-depth research and interviews with the schools, accepting only those that adhere to four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community, and successful outcomes.
The process also highlighted the university’s excellence in providing its students with a well-rounded, practical education that prepares them for successful careers and lives.
“We believe that engaged students are successful students,” said Tyson Schritter, chief operating officer at Colleges of Distinction. “And Daemen’s dedication to experiential learning shows us that each of its students has the opportunity to play an active role in their education.”
Schritter continued, “We are deeply inspired by how Daemen immerses students in their academic pursuits, fostering a welcoming community that provides unwavering support throughout their college years and beyond.”
