Daemen University’s Animation Department won four statues during the 44th Annual Telly Awards, including the institution’s first two gold awards.
The winners, alums from the class of 2022, were all recognized in the non-broadcast general-student category for the short films they produced during their senior year:
Gold Tellys
Bronze Tellys
“I am extremely proud of our animation students and the ongoing successes and growth of the program,” said Dr. Heather Maloney-Stassen, the founding dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education. “We have profoundly dedicated and engaged faculty and students. The external honors through the Telly Awards and our Top 10 Program recognition celebrates our commitment to excellence.”
This marks the third year in a row Daemen has taken home Tellys.
The Telly Awards, which are the world’s largest honor for video and television across all screens, received nearly 13,000 entries from around the globe this year.
