Dr. Mario Hicks can add author to his resume. Hicks, the vice president for institutional advancement at Daemen University, released “The Strategic Nonprofit: How to Leverage Intellectual Capital and Navigate Emerging Trends for Long-term Success” in April.
“I am very excited to have released my first book,” Hicks said. “This book is not only a practical guide for leveraging your intellectual capital and gaining a competitive edge, but it’s also an inspiring call to action for forward-thinking professionals who crave the challenges of today so they can create a better tomorrow.”
The certified fundraising executive worked on the book for about six months and said his professional experience in the inspired him to write it.
“I enjoy talking about fundraising, nonprofits, and philanthropy,” Hicks explained. “Nonprofit professionals have excellent critical thinking skills. They are essential in tackling the challenges that plague our communities.”
