Daemen College has joined other East Coast Conference member schools in donating a portion of recent basketball game ticket sales to benefit Team IMPACT, a non-profit organization that aims to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses.
Ticket sale donations were made from Daemen games during the last week of the regular season, and will also be made from teams playing in the ECC men’s and women’s basketball championship tournament games on March 1, 4 and 5. The Wildcats men’s basketball team has clinched a bid for the tournament.
Since partnering with Team IMPACT in 2014, three children have been paired with a Daemen team. Team IMPACT harnesses the power of teamwork by matching children with college athletic teams. Participating children are drafted on to local college athletic teams and, to the greatest extent possible, become an official member of the team for the duration of their treatment and beyond.
