Annie Mandart
Annie Mandart recently joined Daemen College as administrative associate to the associate vice president for academic affairs.
She previously served as the education associate at WNED|WBFO, where she coordinated school initiatives as part of an education news reporting grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. She also has experience in higher education admissions and communications.
Before moving to Western New York in 2015, Mandart taught English and journalism in the Marshall Islands. She received a 2016 Catalyst for Change Award from the American Association of University Women Buffalo Branch in recognition of her work with Marshallese girls.
In addition to AAUW, Mandart is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha, the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, and Penn State University’s Blue and White Society.
She is pursuing a master of public administration from Penn State‘s World Campus. She holds a graduate certificate in public sector human resources management from Penn State, and a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies and writing and rhetoric from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Outside of Daemen, Mandart serves on the editorial board of the international, interdisciplinary open-access Journal of Mother Studies. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and visiting with family.
