Alum Audrey Yokopovich ‘20 is a seasonal intern with the Kansas City Chiefs! Let’s take a look at her life and her world since graduating from Daemen. Here’s a snapshot from Audrey herself, a graduate of the Athletic Training, M.S. program.
“My name is Audrey Yokopovich and I graduated from the Athletic Training, M.S. program from Daemen College in May 2020. I am currently a seasonal athletic training intern for the Kansas City Chiefs.
During my time at Daemen, I had the opportunity to do a clinical rotation with the Buffalo Bills for the 2019 season. With that experience, I learned what it takes to work at a high level. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but the education and connections I gained were crucial in getting me to where I am now.
Without that clinical rotation, I wouldn’t have this job in Kansas City and I would not have been prepared to work in the NFL.
Before coming to Daemen, I didn’t have any background in athletic training except being an athlete myself. The direct entry program prepared me well enough to pass the Board of Certification exam on my first try and adapt to any clinical setting I might have been thrown into.
I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime and learned from some of the greatest in Buffalo. Daemen College was the steppingstone I needed in order to achieve a few of my professional goals.”
