Daemen College has announced the appointment of Mary Glenn, an accomplished fundraising professional with more than 20 years of experience in higher education, as vice president for institutional advancement. Her appointment is effective June 24.
In this role, Glenn will oversee the areas of development, alumni relations, publications, and marketing and communications.
“Ms. Glenn will be a valuable addition to our strong executive leadership team, and I look forward to working with her to further Daemen’s prominence as a college of national distinction,” said President Gary A. Olson. “She brings to this position a breadth of experience in higher education.”
Glenn comes to Daemen from the University at Buffalo, where she served as senior director of development for health sciences. She led the major gifts programs and supervised the advancement team for the Schools of Nursing, Social Work, and Public Health and Health Professions. Glenn has spent over 20 years aiding the advancement efforts of UB, serving in a variety of capacities within the Division of University Advancement.
“I am excited about joining Daemen College’s senior leadership team,” said Glenn. “Daemen is clearly moving to new levels of excellence, and I look forward to playing a key role in their advancement initiatives.”
Active in the community, Glenn is a member of the Council for Advancement of Education (CASE) and is a past member of the Buffalo Physician Editorial Board.
She received both her bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy and gerontology as well as her master’s degree in health education from SUNY Cortland. She is also a graduate of Leadership Niagara.
A Buffalo native, Glenn resides in Lockport.
