Christopher Malik, director of student activities at Daemen College, has received the 2016 Outstanding Service to Higher Education Award from the College Student Personnel Association of New York State (CSPA-NYS).
The award, which was presented at the association’s annual conference held this month in Buffalo, honors a professional who has given distinguished service to higher education and has helped improve the quality of the learning climate at post-secondary institutions.
“Throughout his nearly 30-year tenure at Daemen, Chris has focused on providing the best programming for our students and his work has been impressive,” said Dr. Greg Nayor, vice president for student affairs. “I am proud to have him on our student affairs team and offer my heartfelt congratulations for this well-deserved honor.”
Serving in his director role at Daemen since 1987, Malik was recognized for his exceptional contributions to the college with an Outstanding Administrator Award.
Malik earned a master’s degree in student personnel administration from SUNY Buffalo State and a bachelor’s degree in music from SUNY Potsdam.
He resides in East Aurora.
