Rachel Pawlak received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Daemen College and also completed a professional certificate in paralegal studies. While at Daemen, she was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team and served as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Pawlak is currently a second-year law student at Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Ind. She serves as a volunteer attorney coordinator for one of the law school’s pro bono organizations, the Protective Order Project, and is on the executive board for the Women’s Law Caucus. She is also an associate for the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality and is a peer mentor for first-year law students.

Pawlak fondly remembers her experience as a Daemen student-athlete. “My favorite memories from Daemen are the times I spent traveling with my teammates and competing in the East Coast Conference,” said Pawlak. “When I came in as a freshman, it was our first year competing as an NCAA Division II team. It was an amazing experience to be a part of the transition to DII and in the community of student-athletes at Daemen.”

After completing her law studies, Pawlak plans to return to Western New York to begin her legal career.
