Daemen College has been named to the 2019 “Hardest Colleges to Get Into in America” list by Niche, a college ranking Web site.
Daemen is ranked No. 53 among 131 New York State institutions, making it the highest ranked private college in the Buffalo Niagara region on the state list.
Nationally, the college is listed at No. 385 out of nearly 1,675 colleges and universities across the United States. Daemen joins other prestigious colleges and universities on the national list, including Northwestern University, Amherst College, Middlebury College, and Colgate University.
“We are proud to have Daemen recognized among the most selective colleges in the country,” said Daemen President Gary Olson. “This ranking reflects Daemen’s growing academic reputation and the impressive strength and depth of our talented applicant pool.”
According to Niche, the “Hardest Colleges to Get Into in America” rankings are based on acceptance rates and SAT/ACT test scores using data from the U.S. Department of Education.
This latest ranking is one of several recent distinctions received by Daemen, including the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings, and selection as a Military Friendly School and College of Distinction.
