Business owner Charles Joyce, president of Otis Eastern Service, LLC, one of the nation’s leading pipeline contractors, will speak at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 in Daemen College’s Wick Campus Center Alumni Lounge as part of the Nancy Haberman Gacioch Entrepreneurship Lecture Series.
Joyce will give his perspective on the pipeline industry’s challenging business environment. The lecture, which is co-sponsored by the Daemen Entrepreneurship Program and the Office of the President, is free and open to the public.
Otis Eastern Service, headquartered in Wellsville, manufactures high pressure pipelines used to transport oil, gas and petroleum products. The company specializes in projects with tough environmental and logistical challenges. Joyce joined his father, Charles H. Joyce, at Otis Eastern Service in 1983, and was named president in 1995.
The 2016-17 Nancy Haberman Gacioch Entrepreneurship Lecture Series will feature several entrepreneurs who recognize the potential that exists in the Buffalo Niagara region through development, revitalization efforts, new programming, job creation, or collaborative endeavors.
