Margaret “Peg” Lacki serves as administrative assistant in the Daemen College Student Success Center, where she provides administrative and clerical support to the Learning Center and Academic Advisement Office.
Prior to joining Daemen in 2015, Lacki was office coordinator, box office manager and friends liaison in the Niagara University Theatre and Fine Arts Department. Her exemplary dedication and service was recognized with the 2013 Friends of Niagara University Theatre Spirit Award.
After 18 years, Lacki pursued career advancement outside higher education. She worked in the corporate medical field but realized how much the students had become a part of her life and decided to return to working in a college environment.
Lacki is a board member of the Friends of Niagara University and volunteers for special events in St. John Kanty Church’s kitchen, enjoys traveling, and loves boating with her family on the Upper Niagara River.
Originally from Buffalo, Lacki resides in Grand Island with her husband of 35 years, Michael, and enjoys following and dancing to his band, JoyRyde (inductees in the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame). Their son, Jonathan, and his wife, Erin, live locally and have two children, Brenna and Andy. Her daughter, Mary Beth, has performed on Buffalo stages, including last summer as Tybalt in “Romeo & Juliet” at Shakespeare in the Park.
