Sarah Rodman
Sarah Rodman, a Trustee’s Scholar and recipient of the Ruth Stratton Memorial Scholarship, received a bachelor’s degree in political science magna cum laude from Daemen College. She went on to earn a law degree with a concentration in intellectual property and technology law from the University at Buffalo Law School.
As a student at Daemen, Rodman divided her time between academics and her love for theater and the arts. In addition to studying three languages, she was an active member of the Pre-Law Association and developed “Raise Your Voice,” Daemen’s first musical event to raise awareness of bullying on college campuses. She remains active in the local theater world and is involved with Actors Anonymous Theatre Company.
Also during her undergraduate years, Rodman participated in an internship at the American Bar Association in Washington, D.C. The internship, which was offered by the Washington Internship Institute through Daemen Career Services, gave her the opportunity to meet many leaders in politics, including Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. She firmly believes the opportunities provided by Daemen helped to pave her educational and career path.
Rodman is currently an intellectual property law clerk at Kloss Stenger & LoTempio in Clarence, and maintains a fashion law blog called “Laws and Luxuries.” She hopes to take this experience and pursue a career in the field of copyright and trademark law in the fashion and design sector.
