Christine Kozlowski ‘16
Christine Kozlowski earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and graduated summa cum laude from Daemen College in 2016. A Dean’s Scholar student, she participated in many opportunities offered at the college, including two study abroad experiences in Mexico, which she pursued with the support of her academic advisor, Dr. Denise Mills, and the Global Programs Office. She also participated in an internship at the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through the Washington Internship Institute, an opportunity made possible through the Career Services Office.
Kozlowski is currently a Spanish interpreter/intake specialist for the Assigned Counsel Program of Erie County. She has recently accepted a position with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service, where she will begin her career in the coming year. She will serve in a Spanish-speaking country for five years and will be responsible for adjudicating passports/visas, assist with visits of high-level U.S. and foreign officials, and promote bilateral relations.
A Buffalo native, Kozlowski attributes her success to the invaluable education and opportunities she received as a Daemen student.
“I could not be more thrilled with my experience at Daemen College,” said Kozlowski. “I will forever advocate on the behalf of the college, which helped me to grow intellectually and to improve my skills. As a result, I have earned my dream position with the Foreign Service, and I am forever grateful to Daemen.”
