Lisa Schmidt, who earned a master’s degree in executive leadership and change from Daemen College, was honored with the Graduate of the Last Decade award at the 2016 Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony.
Schmidt is vice president/chief operating officer of core services at Buffalo General Medical Center, a part of the Kaleida Health system. During her nearly 30-year career with Kaleida, she has held various management positions, including vice president of strategic initiatives and implementation and senior director of ambulatory services, among other roles.
She serves on the Buffalo Prenatal/Perinatal Association Board of Directors and the organization’s Sustainability Committee, and is a committee member and past chair of the HighPointe on Michigan Pediatric Unit.
A Grand Island resident, Schmidt, who also holds a bachelor’s degree from Medaille College, credits the diverse learning experience provided by the Daemen ELC Program with advancing her growth as a leader.
