Daemen Hosts Annual Scholarship Brunch

Daemen University honored student scholarship recipients and their respective donors at the university’s annual scholarship brunch on Saturday, April 12, in Rosary Hall. 11 male and female students standing together inside a room in front of windows

Donors, including trustee Scott Bieler; trustee emeritus Robert M. Chur, Carla (Chur) Suero, and Terry Suero, II; Renée E. Conners-Wilkins; trustee emeritus Dale B. Demyanick ’79; Carol S. Sabatino; and faculty trustee emeritus Dr. Peter A. Siedlecki were recognized during the event.

Jason Feminella, this year’s student keynote speaker and recipient of the Bieler Scholarship, shared his journey and the impact of receiving scholarship support.

“I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the donors, especially my donor, Mr. Scott Bieler, for not only the financial support, but for the vote of confidence in our abilities to be excellent providers in the future,” said Feminella. “I hope every student in this room understands that a scholarship is a lot more than just a check. It means that someone sees something special in you that’s worth investing in.”
