AMHERST, N.Y. - Two members of the Daemen University women's lacrosse team have been honored by the East Coast Conference for their outstanding play during the 2024 season.

Sophomore Ella Bouley (Auburn, N.Y.) and senior Tatiana Wright (Stratford, Conn.) were both named to the 32-player All-ECC team that was announced this afternoon in a press release from conference headquarters on Long Island. Both were voted to the second team. They become the fourth and fifth players in program history to earn All-ECC honors. Daemen announced it was adding women's lacrosse as a varsity sport in June of 2021 and fielded its inaugural team in 2023.

Bouley, who was also recently named the team's Most Valuable Player, closed out the year as the team leader in goals (32), points (45), total shots (69), shots on goal (59), free position goals (7) and draw controls (48). She also ranked second in ground balls (30) and caused turnovers (16). She netted a career-high four goals in an early-season loss to Dominican and equaled that mark and recorded a career-high five points in a mid season win over St. Thomas Aquinas. She also recorded her 100th career draw control in the win over St. Thomas Aquinas. A team captain, she has played in all 33 games over the past two seasons (32 starts) and has totaled 60 goals, 19 assists and 79 points. She ranks second in both career goals and career points and has totaled a program record 68 ground balls, 116 draw controls and 34 caused turnovers over the past two seasons.

Wright made an immediate impact after transferring to Daemen from Medaille University. A goalkeeper, she started 10 of Daemen's 17 games this season and posted double-digit saves in four games. She turned away a season-high 20 shots in a mid-season loss to Molloy and  is one of just 15 goalkeepers in all of Division II to record 20 or more saves in game this season. Among the ECC leaders she ranks first in save percentage (.457) and fourth in goals against average (10.95), saves per game (7.29) and total saves (102). Wright played three seasons (2020, 22-23) at Medaille and posted 271 career saves and a career save percentage of .434.

In addition, Emma Blumenstock of Roberts Wesleyan was named Attacker of the Year, Sophia Podszebka of Roberts Wesleayn was named Midfielder of the Year, Lindsey Shimborske of Mercy was named Defender of the Year, Shawna Lesmerrises of Roberts Wesleyan and Brinn Stworzydlak of D'Youville were voted Co-Goalkeepers of the Year and Victoria Bustamante of Molloy was named Rookie of the Year. Kristin Paolini of Roberts Wesleyan was named Coach of the Year.

Daemen closed out its sophomore season with a 5-12 overall record and 2-4 mark in the league. The Wildcats came just one win shy of qualifying for the four-team ECC Championship tournament.
